The ALLEGRETTO WAVE WaveLight® EX500 laserThe latest WaveLight® laser system is a further development of the proven ALLEGRETTO WAVE® excimer laser technology, combining many new features for fast, safe and precise laser vision correction. The WaveLight® EX500 laser is currently the world's fastest excimer laser for refractive surgery in the treatments of laser vision correction. PerfectPuls Technology provides high precision and safety for the best results.The laser WaveLight® EX500 is a stationary excimer laser system used in refractive surgery for the treatments of myopia, myopic astigmatism, hyperopia, hyperopic astigmatism, mixed astigmatism, phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK).

The uniqueness of the system consists in a combination of technologically refinde features, including a compact excimer laser with high pulse frequency, and galvanometer scanner for positioning the laser spot and a fast eyetracker for determining eye position and laser-beam direction. The Gaussian shaped beam profile of individual pulses and an ablation diametr of approximately 0.95 mm (0.68 mm FWHM - Full Width at Half Maximum) assures the desired contour and minimize surface irregularities during ablation.

An advantage of the small spot diameter is that the WaveLight® EX500 requires the use of only minimal pulse energy. As the excimer laser is operated at a high repetition frecquency, short treatment times are assured. The integrated eyetracker offers unique automatic centration of the ablation and tracking of even rapid eye movements.

Increased performance by WaveLight® algorithm and faster laser head causes less corneal dehydration during treatment, reduction of sensitivity to patient movements, more comfort of the patient during the treatment and optimized results. With the WaveLight® EX500 we use the laser with maximum control and safety and we have a lot of patients' satisfaction.

Microkeratome MORIA

Microkeratome MORIAThe most modern and safest methods of vision correction would not have been possible without yet another highly specialist piece of equipment. LASIK, SBK LASIK and EPI-LASIK require a microkeratome, which is used to prepare the field of operation for the laser. In order to be able to change the shape of the cornea the laser must reach the deepest layers of the cornea. And this is achieved thanks to the microkeratome, which is made up of a console and several heads specific for the type of surgery (One Use-Plus 130, One Use-Plus SBK, Epi-K).

While the laser precision is the most important aspect for the accuracy of correction, the microkeratome is responsible for the majority of benefits associated with the course of surgery as well as the duration and quality of recovery after surgery.

The safety of surgery is largely dependent on the highest quality of the microkeratome. Documented safety is an advantage of the MORIA system, as indicated by clinical reports and authorisation to use on the US market by the FDA, authorisation to use in the EU (by the CE certificate) and authorisation to use in France, where an additional medical certificate is required that documents benefits compared to the previous methods.

The main advantages of the EVOLUTION 3E console include:

  • The low-pressure option: enables eyeball stabilisation during excimer laser ablation and gentle manipulation of the corneal flap while the knife is returning during microkeratome incisions.
  • The slow increase and decrease of low pressure reduces patient discomfort after the low-pressure option has been switched on.
  • Two head movement speeds allow the formation of the corneal flap individually, according to the patient needs, and easy fit to various shapes of the cornea.

  • The high frequency of oscillations allows to obtain a corneal flap with very smooth edges.
  • The head comes pre-calibrated along with the knife, which offers a higher reproducibility of incision parameters.
  • The transparent head and ring enable constant observation of the corneal flap and the low pressure during incisions.
  • The double-port ring enables uniform adhesion to the cornea.

ALLEGRO Topolyzer

Topolyzer ALLEGRO WaveLight ®Computer-assisted corneal topography (map):
Analysis of the image of concentric, black-and-white circles reflected from the surface of the cornea. The device calculates the curve radius and the refractive power of the cornea in selected points and presents them as colour maps or numeric values. This evaluation is necessary before refractive surgery of the cornea.

Oculyzer WaveLight®

Oculyzer WaveLight®The WaveLight® Oculyzer is a diagnostic device designed to measure and examination the anterior eye section and the topography of cornea. The measured data can be exported and used in combination with the WaveLight laser system in the field of refractive surgery.

WaveLight® Oculyzer diagnostic tool provides non-contact measurement and analysis of the entire anterior segment of the eye. Measurements are performed from the front surface of the cornea to the posterior surface of the lens. Built-in rotating camera takes up to 50 pictures during the measurement and saves images to provide high-resolution data and allowing for three-dimensional analysis.

The software allows for various analyzes and data processing:

  • Topography of the front and rear surfaces for preoperative planning corneal refractive surgery, for the evaluation and calculation of postoperative intraocular pressure
  • Detection and classification of keratoconus
  • Analysis of cataract supports the objective measurement of the density of the lens
  • Analysis of 3D chamber
  • The preoperative pachymetry supports the planning of treatments for corneal
  • Integration in the network and connect to an excimer laser
