How much does a Laser Vision Correction cost?

It is one of the first questions asked by those who are interested in undergoing a Laser Vision Correction procedure. The price depends on the method used during the procedure. The method of correction is chosen individually, according to patient’s parameters, which are measured during the qualifying examination. Those measurements include determination of the degree of refractive error, as well as the curvature and thickness of the cornea (keratometry and pachymetry). Also, the occupation and lifestyle of the patient is taken into consideration. The qualifying examination costs 200 zł.

Methods of correction are divided according to the technology used to prepare the cornea before the laser beam shapes it. The two general groups are:

• LASIK procedures (SBK LASIK),
• PRK procedures (Epi-LASIK, EBK, TransPRK, LASEK).

In ArtLife Ophthalmic Centre, we always pay special attention to patients’ comfort before, during and after the procedure. Most of the patients can undergo SBK LASIK procedure, after which the recovery is almost instant and the whole treatment (eye drops) lasts only one month.
In our clinic, PRK methods are used only when medical indications occur (exactly as mentioned in the Pricelist). After procedures of this type, return to everyday life is possible after 2–5 days. During the first 2–3 days after the surgery, the patient typically experiences substantial pain. Total recovery usually takes 2 months.
