The eye examination is performed at the Laser Eye Surgery Centre at Swissmed Centrum Zdrowia (1st floor). You can make an appointment by telephone, contact form or in person.

Our Laser Eye Surgery Centre offers various examinations, such as specialist eye examinations, examinations qualifying for laser vision correction and examinations qualifying for cataract surgery.

Take this test  before you come for the examination qualifying for laser vision correction. If all your answers to the test questions were YES, you are very likely to qualify for laser vision correction. If you aren’t sure about any of the questions, feel free to make an appointment for a detailed eye examination.

The following tests will be performed during the eye examination:

• Examination of near and far vision
• Measurement of intraocular pressure (pressure inside your eyeball)
• Examination of the appendages of the eye
• Examination of the anterior segment of the eye
• Examination of the eye fundus
• Pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement, which determines the selection of the surgical method)
• Corneal topography (corneal map) will be evaluated during the eye examination and directly before the surgery to ensure the precision of vision correction, because these are the results that will be entered into the laser computer.

If the eye examination reveals no contraindications to laser vision correction the patient may start getting ready for the next step: the surgery. We will provide you with all the information you need to know about how to prepare for the surgery.
